I received a very interesting gift for Christmas: A microscope with which I can examine, in detail, things that I find at El Mesteño. Since rocks are “one of my things,” naturally, I would want to inspect them more closely. This image is of a white rock, approximately the size of a quarter in diameter. It appears to weigh less than what you would expect when you pick it up. There are small “holes” in it; it has the appearance of being porous.
This image is one that I captured with my new microscope. “It is fascinating, Jim.”
